​Transformation occurs in many forms. Unwinding the blocks that bind us leads to a path of personal growth and self-realization. This could reflect a spiritual unfolding or some degree of physical transition. My counseling practice is client-centered and humanistic. I have studied Jungian theory and Buddhist psychology, similar to Rogerian therapy, with the spiritual dimension enhanced. 
Transformational 
​Perhaps the most important part of the therapeutic experience is the relationship between therapist and client. Research has shown this to be true. So ask questions and choose wisely, for this relationship could help you become open to inner wisdom; thus facilitating your journey toward healing and well-being. I offer a supportive and nurturing environment to provide space for clients to rediscover the inter-connection of mind, body, and spirit. Evolving into your own full potential is a potent process.

I work with clients around personal evolvement, relationship issues, building self-awareness & self-compassion, and grief & loss. That work started during the initial years of the AIDS pandemic. The grieving process is broad, teaching us about letting go, and ultimately to accept, if we are willing to move through the steps along the way. All transformative work involves loss, for as we move into a new metaphysical space, something usually needs to be left behind.

I collaborate with medical providers when working with anxiety and mood disorders. My practice serves adults, couples, older adolescents, and seniors. I have also worked extensively within the LGBTQ community.
